My pathway to international education began with the four consecutive summers I spent interning in South Africa, in homes for HIV+ and abandoned children. Being immersed in that beautiful and challenging setting grew in me a passion for social justice and cross-cultural friendships. I see my work now as a continuation of that original passion, by helping facilitate college students to enhance their education through international experience. My hope is that through purposeful immersion, that our student travelers would also develop a deep sense of curiosity, appreciation, and personal responsibility for the wider global community.
I completed my B.A. in Intercultural Studies and my M.S. in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education. I’ve studied four foreign languages, traveled to more than 25 countries, and I plan to continue learning and adventuring long into the future. Besides international travel, I enjoy exploring the American outdoors on foot or on bike, with a pack or on skis, on a rope or in a raft.
