Bio

Hello!

My name is Deanna Gallegos (she/her/hers) and I am an Advising & Outreach Coordinator at the Global Learning Hub. I graduated from UC Davis with a bachelor’s degree in English and Chicanx Studies and a minor in Education. During my time as an undergrad, I got involved around campus as a tour guide, orientation leader, and intern while in the UC Center Sacramento program. These experiences helped me to realize my desire to work in a college setting and support students as they pursue their goals.

As an undergraduate student, I participated in the UC Davis “Portal to Fantasy” summer program in Oxford, England. My experience abroad was filled with incredible day trips to Bath, Stonehenge and the bustling cities of London and Paris. In addition to the captivating scenery, some of my favorite memories abroad feature the wonderful people I met during my program!

After graduation, I moved to Connecticut to complete my master’s of Higher Education and Student Affairs at UConn. While there, I worked for the UConn Pre-College Summer program, where I supervised the student staff, spoke with incoming students and their families, and helped coordinate program logistics.

I am excited to return to UC Davis and talk with fellow Aggies about the variety of global learning opportunities available on campus and beyond. Stop by the Global Learning Hub in the International Center when you’re on campus to learn more!
