Global Aggies: Serving Nicaraguan Students with Special Needs

UC Davis biomedical engineering major in the College of Engineering Laura Oelsner traveled to Nicaragua to serve students with special needs and create community programs focused on improving literacy, food security, and vision.

EIT Digital: Virtual Global Learning Projects in Europe

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Join EIT Digital Summer School to get experience in business development in five areas of societal and industrial challenges, including digital tech, wellbeing, and finance. The virtual program consists of innovation and entrepreneurship lectures, teamwork activities, presentation of company cases, and business development mentoring. Deadline: June 17.

UC Berkeley Global Leadership & Innovation Virtual Program

July 20–July 31. This two-week interactive training for aspiring global leaders and innovators will help strengthen skills for effectively leading globally diverse teams in remote work environments through a combination of virtual interactive learning, project-based simulations, discussions, and reflections. Deadline: June 26.

Marketing for Food Production Virtual Internships with Kimitec

Virtually report to the Chief Marketing Officer at Kimitec Group, a biotechnology company focused on agriculture based in Spain with branch offices in California and Minnesota. Three positions available for this summer: buyer persona analysis, neuro-marketing, and creative copywriting. Internships are 8 weeks, 15 hours/week. Priority Deadline: June 30.

Child Family Health International (CFHI) Virtual Opportunities

Asia Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) Quarantunes Music Competition

1st Prize: $5,000. A student music competition to inspire each other and our communities by making music. See beyond current difficulties, come together in mutual support, and strengthen the determination and hope for the future. Deadline: June 14.

CFHI Susan Hershey Memorial Scholarship for Virtual Learning

CFHI is offering four $600 scholarships to participate in a virtual CFHI program. Scholarship open to any current student enrolled in an undergraduate, post-bacc, graduate, or post-graduate program. Deadline: June 15.

Absolute Internship Scholarship

Absolute Internship is offering 10 fully-funded scholarships to ensure that students are able to conduct a remote internship with guaranteed placement regardless of their financial situation. Deadline: June 23.

University of Bordeaux Fulbright Doctoral Research Award

In partnership with the Fulbright Commission, the University of Bordeaux has launched a call-for-applications for four Doctoral Research Awards. The grant period will take place from September through June, 2022. Deadline: October 13.

UC Davis Global Affairs and the UC Davis World Food Center are hosting a panel of experts from academia, industry, and the non-profit sector to discuss how the pandemic has disrupted global supply chains in the near-term.

The Future of International Education: Leadership Perspectives from Around the World
