Pitzer Family Foundation Global Challenge Internship Grants

Pitzer Family Foundation Global Challenge Internship Grants (NEW)

The Pitzer Family Foundation Global Challenge Internship Grants are now open for 2023. Four generous grants, of up to $10,000 per grantee, will be given to eligible UC Davis students who will participate in select UC Davis global internship programs. These grants are intended as last-dollar funding, to close the funding gap between a student’s existing grants and scholarships (if any) and the cost of their program, so that students’ internship abroad may be fully-funded.

In recent years, Global Affairs has expanded our portfolio of global internships, in light of significant student focus on career readiness and interest in preparing to address global challenges through meaningful intercultural in-person and virtual collaboration. These grants exist to help students who may otherwise not be able to take advantage of such opportunities.

Since 2013, the Pitzer Family Foundation has been contributing to the mission of UC Davis Global Affairs to achieve “Global Education for All,” an initiative to provide all undergraduate, graduate and professional students with global learning opportunities that will make an impact on their lives and the world. The Pitzer Family Foundation is generously funding scholarships for students to participate in global internships through the UC Davis Summer Abroad Internship and Quarter Abroad programs, with the intent of fostering global engagement, preparing students to address global challenges through intercultural interactions and promoting meaningful work opportunities that will start students on the path to their future career.
