UC Davis Study Abroad Awards

UC Davis Study Abroad Awards

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, UC Davis is able to offer financial awards to selected UC Davis student participants in UC Davis Summer Abroad, Summer Abroad Internships, and Quarter Abroad programs.

Award Application Process

The Study Abroad Award application is available when enrollment opens for your program's term.  You must already be saved a spot in a program by the applicable submission deadline; students with incomplete program applications will not be considered. You do not have to be eligible for financial aid in order to receive an award.

The award application will be available in your UC Davis Study Abroad account once you have been saved a spot in your program.

To apply for a Study Abroad award, please follow these steps:

  1. Log into your UC Davis Study Abroad account
  2. Complete your enrollment for your program
  3. On your “My Enrollments” portal, click on "Start your Study Abroad Award Application here!"
  4. Complete and submit your Award Application

Follow the online instructions and answer the prompt:  How does the specific study abroad program you have chosen is related to your academic, personal, or professional goals? (500 word limit; please remember to include a title).

Applications will be considered on the strength of the essay, as well as financial need, as demonstrated on the FAFSA or CA Dream Act application. Award amounts usually range from $500-$2,000 per student.

Thanking our donors is an important part of the process, both as a courtesy for their generosity, and to encourage donor’s continued giving and support for future students.
