Study abroad for two weeks in September in Chile & Peru, or two weeks over winter break in Italy. Programs have no prerequisites and are open to students from any major (freshmen-seniors). Programs and units are connected to fall quarter.

Global Leadership and Internships

University of Oregon Remote Global Leadership Challenge

July 19–August 1. Students from across the world will come together to develop professional skills, strengthen their leadership, and focus on the critical challenges of sustainability. Scholarships are available to cover some or all of the program fee. Learn more and apply by May 15.

UC Berkeley Global Leadership & Innovation Virtual Program

July 20–July 31. This two-week interactive training for aspiring global leaders and innovators will help strengthen skills for effectively leading globally diverse teams in remote work environments through a combination of virtual interactive learning, project-based simulations, discussions, and reflections.

Team4Teach Virtual Ed-Tech Internship with NGOs in Rwanda and Malawi

June 15–Aug 10, 8-10 hours/week. This internship is designed for undergraduate students interested in education, technology, and international development who want to gain real-world skills by helping to devise and deliver remote solutions to assist African NGOs. Global Hackathon – Reboot the Ocean

Reboot the Ocean aims to bring youth together to develop new solutions that address current sustainability challenges and ensure a healthy and productive ocean. Create a team and tackle one of the five critical challenges identified by the UN to help change the course of the future. Register. Deadline: May 20.

Mini-Grants Available to Students – Campus Global Theme Call-for-Proposals

Student Grants: $250. The inaugural year’s theme (2020-21), Food for Thought: Feeding Ourselves, Feeding the Planet, roots itself in the strengths of UC Davis to call for activities and events that can help our community reflect on the work of nourishing our world. Deadline: May 31.

Asia Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) Quarantunes Music Competition

1st Prize: $5,000. A student music competition to inspire each other and our communities by making music. See beyond current difficulties, come together in mutual support, and strengthen the determination and hope for the future. Deadline: June 14.

MIT Solve 2020 Global Challenges

15th Annual Davis Feminist Film Festival (DFFF)
