Accommodations
In London, Paris and Rome you will be staying in university residence halls.
In Les Houches (Mt. Blanc), you will be staying in shared rooms in a hotel where breakfast and dinner will be provided.
UC Davis reserves the right to change the accommodation location. Should this be necessary, we will arrange alternative lodging. Please note that wi-fi, elevators, air conditioners and other modern conveniences may not be available in all locations.
Meals
The program includes welcome meal in London and a farewell meal in Rome, a very special dinner in Paris, breakfasts in London and Paris, breakfasts and dinners in the Alps. Students are on their own for most meals.

Study Abroad Advisory of Student Risk
Participation in this UC Davis Study Abroad program requires travel to and extended living in a foreign location(s) abroad. UC Davis Study Abroad endeavors to reduce and mitigate risk wherever possible. However, the environments and risks associated with living in these locations are substantially different than those found during a regular course of study at UC Davis. All participants must download and review the following information prior to departure. Any questions should be directed to the Program Coordinator.

Weather and Climate
Imagine you are packing for one week during which you will be spending some time in Seattle (chilly with rain), the Sierra Nevada (sunny days, cool evenings, outdoor activities), and Sacramento (lots of sun, very hot).
London
Prepare for fluctuating weather conditions. Some days will be very hot; others will be rainy. Weather in London.
Paris
As in London, some days may be very hot; others may be rainy. During the weeks leading up to the program, you may monitor the weather online. Weather in Paris.
Mont Blanc
Weather in the Alps around Mont Blanc is fairly unpredictable. It could be moderate to very cold. Chances are you will need various layered clothing, good shoes or boots, and a decent jacket. Weather in Mont Blanc.
Rome
The weather in Italy during the summer is warm to hot and humid with occasional rain. Be prepared, and remember you will have no air conditioning! The average daily high/low temperature in July and August is 83/65. Weather in Rome.
Bring clothes that you can layer for ease of comfort. There may be some rain showers during your stay, so bring a parka, poncho, or umbrella.
