Students will stay in spacious and modern studio apartments (see pictures to the right) in Palermo Soho, a trendy and chic neighborhood where cafes, restaurants, nightclubs, street fairs and small boutiques abound. Apartments have 24-hour security concierge services. Each apartment has a full private bathroom, an equipped kitchen, Cable and LCD TV, and a digital safety box. Get to Know Your Destination

Buenos Aires is the cultural mecca of South America. Students go to Buenos Aires for the urban experience, the rich cultural life, the inexpensive and excellent food, and the very active night-life. Alternatively called “the city that never sleeps” or “the Paris of Latin America”, Buenos Aires is a cosmopolitan and diverse metropolis (ten million inhabitants at least) that merges the European and the Latin American traditions.  Restaurants, theaters and cafes are opened until late hours of the night. Neighborhoods have very different cultural identities that you will be able to explore by foot or public transportation. A number of web sites posted by young Americans living in Buenos Aires can give you an idea of the richness of cultural offerings (film festivals, museums, street fairs, music festivals, amazing restaurants, rock and roll in Spanish, soccer events, etc.). If you like cities, you may never want to leave this one!

Study Abroad Advisory of Student Risk

Participation in this UC Davis Study Abroad program requires travel to and extended living in a foreign location(s) abroad. UC Davis Study Abroad endeavors to reduce and mitigate risk wherever possible.  However, the environments and risks associated with living in these locations are substantially different than those found during a regular course of study at UC Davis. All participants must download and review the following information prior to departure. Any questions should be directed to the Program Coordinator.
