Based at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT in Cali/Palmira, Colombia, this program invites students to dive into the science and culture of agriculture in one of the world’s most important research hubs. You will explore how key crops like cassava, beans, sugarcane, coffee, and rice, can help support farming systems that are good for both people and the planet. Through field visits, hands-on research, and collaboration with global scientists, you will gain practical experience in soil health, carbon sequestration, and plant breeding for sustainability. Whether you are walking through cassava plots, studying soil health, or working alongside farmers and researchers, this immersive program builds valuable skills for careers in agriculture, environmental science, and global development.
