Bio

Hello! My name is Ayano Osawa, and I am a second-year student majoring in International Relations and Psychology. I was born and raised in the Bay Area but was lucky enough to spend many summers in my parents’ hometown of Tokyo, Japan. Attending a weekly language school and speaking Japanese at home played a large part in helping me build bilingual fluency and remain connected to my heritage.

I am involved in several clubs here on campus, including JASS, the Japanese American Student Society.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring new cafes with friends, thrifting, painting, sewing, and crocheting my own clothes.

I am excited to join the Global Learning Hub as a front desk assistant this year, where I look forward to helping other UC Davis students expand their worldview through study abroad and other global education programs!
