Celine King

Hello! My name is Celine King, and I’m excited to assist the Global Learning Hub’s goal of connecting the UC Davis community to Global Learning opportunities this academic year as a front desk student assistant! I'm a second-year student studying International Relations, with minors in Spanish and Human Rights, and I hope to work for an NGO tackling human rights issues in Western Europe in the future. My passion for global learning started early, when I attended a dual-immersion elementary school, learning Spanish alongside peers of various backgrounds. Outside the classroom, I hold dual citizenship to France from my dad, who immigrated to the U.S. in the 90s as one of the first H1B Visa recipients. Alongside French and Spanish, I’m learning Italian to better connect with the culture where my mom now resides, Florence, Italy. I feel so lucky to have had access to various global learning opportunities throughout my academic career, and I’m really happy to be able to play a small part in providing these valuable opportunities for others here at the GLH
