Jay Holmes

Hello, my name is Jay. I’m currently a second-year human biology major hoping to pursue a career in medicine. I would like to continue studying abroad as an undergraduate student, as well as potentially attend professional school internationally. I play and watch basketball, enjoy LEGO, and love spending time at the Craft Center. 

I had the opportunity to participate in Global Start, in which I spent my first quarter of university in Siracusa, Sicily. The experience was incredibly transformative, and the support I received there and when I got back encouraged me to work at the Global Learning Hub and help other students with their study abroad journeys. As well as being a part of the UCEAP Student Assistant Team, I am also a mentor for the Global Ambassadors Mentorship Program(GAMP), in which we mentor first-year international students and support them as they explore Davis and the rest of the US.
