Bio

It is a beautiful thing when a career and passion come together. I love travel. More accurately, I love and appreciate the opportunities and experiences that come with being abroad. I have visited, worked, or studied in over fifty countries and across six continents, but this fun fact is so much more than just a checkbox of where I’ve been or where I’d like to go next.

While traveling, I enjoy taking cooking classes, volunteering, going to festivals, people watching, and talking to locals. These intercultural interactions with taxi drivers, homestay families, children and shop owners have expanded my learning way more than any travel book. I also love playing volleyball, roller derby, hula-hooping, singing, laughing, dancing and creating new recipes using my UC Davis weekly farm box.

As an undergrad, I attended UC San Diego where my love for Study Abroad began. I studied for a year through UCEAP to the University of Stirling in beautiful Scotland. After college, I worked in education and prioritized going abroad whenever I could. This led me to combine my enthusiasm for education and all things international with a Master’s Degree in International Education from SIT Graduate Institute in Vermont.

At UC Davis Study Abroad, I’ve supported a wide portfolio of programs since 2012, including UC Davis Quarter Abroad, Summer Abroad, Seminars Abroad and the implementation of Summer Abroad Internships and UC Davis Student Exchanges. My current work focuses on overseeing the UCEAP team at Davis and developing and supporting USA Study programs, service learning, and departmental exchanges.
