Bio

Hi everyone! My name is Raaina Gulati, and I am a fourth-year student double-majoring in Economics and Psychology with a minor in Technology Management. I was born in India, and when I was four, my family moved to Costa Rica, where I was raised and now call home. My biggest global experience has been being an international student here at UC Davis. Even before that, I learned to navigate my two very different cultures: India and Costa Rica. Growing up with two cultures and traveling often taught me to adapt quickly and be open to new ideas and perspectives. Over time, “continuous learning” became a core value for me.

When I moved to California for college, I faced many challenges, but I was able to adapt while carrying my unique blend of Indian and Costa Rican identities. During my freshman summer, I studied abroad in Strasbourg, France, through the Global Learning Hub. Later, I joined the Global Ambassador Mentorship Program (GAMP) as a mentor, where I had the opportunity to guide three international students. These experiences sparked my curiosity to continue exploring the unknown and expand my perspectives. Now, as a GLH Peer Ambassador, I hope to help students broaden their own global experiences and knowledge. I have grown both personally and professionally from mine, and I am excited to support others on their journeys. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
