UC Davis Study Abroad Photo Contest

The annual UC Davis Study Abroad Photo Contest aims to recognize and celebrate student photography taking place on the many study abroad programs offered throughout the year. While the deadline to submit photos is in early fall quarter, we encourage students to submit their favorite photos on a rolling basis as programs conclude. Detailed instructions, guidelines and eligibility.

Fulbright U.S. Student Program

This program offers annual awards for U.S. citizens who will have bachelor’s degrees by the 2024-25 academic year to conduct research, study or teach English in over 140 countries worldwide. Learn more about eligibility, timeline and requirements. Campus Deadline: September 13.

Schwarzman Scholarship

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Receive a full scholarship for a one-year graduate program at Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. Scholars will study and live at Schwarzman College and will partake in a core curriculum focusing on public policy, economics and business or international relations. Deadline: September 19.

Global Leadership, Internships, and Research

Virtual Student Federal Service Internships

September–May. Virtual interns are partnered with U.S. diplomatic posts and domestic federal offices to conduct digital diplomacy that reflects the realities of our networked world. Students work remotely on projects for up to 10 hours per week and can have a flexible schedule during the school year. Deadline: July 28.

UC Davis Washington Program—Winter 2024

The Washington Program offers eligible undergraduate students an exciting opportunity to combine their coursework with an unparalleled internship experience while exploring our nation's capital for a quarter. Students can apply for an internship in any field. There are many global opportunities in D.C.! Apply now for Winter 2024. Deadline: September 18.

Council on Foreign Relations’ Blavatnik and Robina Franklin Williams Internships

These internship programs provide training in the field of foreign policy and international affairs through a variety of positions. Interns work alongside staff while gaining valuable experience through exposure to leading foreign policy experts. Internships are available in Fall 2023.

UN Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization Opportunities (UNESCO)

University Global Coalition Annual Gathering

October 2–6, virtual. For this year’s Gathering, University Global Coalition will host a global, virtual version of 17 Rooms, a process developed by The Brookings Institution and The Rockefeller Foundation. In 17 Rooms, participants select one of 17 groups representing each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Rooms will work to determine a deliverable from their discussion that can be presented during SDG Action and Awareness Week 2023. Registration Deadline: July 10.

Global Student Leadership Summit

The Global Student Leadership Summit (GSLS) registration is now open. GSLS will be held in Chicago, IL. It is the premier leadership conference for students interested in further developing skills related to global diversity, equity and inclusion. Early-bird Registration Deadline: July 14.

Fulbright U.S Student Program Info Session

July 20, 12–1 p.m., virtual. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers approximately 2,200 annual awards for recipients to conduct research, study or teach English in over 150 countries worldwide. This 45-minute webinar—followed by Q&A—focuses on the program's aims, funding provided, application process, timeline and how to become a competitive candidate. Register.

Navigating Reentry: Unpacking Your Experiences Abroad

August 24,5–6:30 p.m., virtual. In this interactive workshop, we will discuss experiences of reentry, and identify resources and tools to unpack experiences from abroad so that you can articulate the skills you’ve gained to different audiences, including future employers. This workshop is applicable to all students returning from different types of programs abroad. Register. Deadline: August 21.
