Global community engagement describes community-based learning that integrates meaningful engagement for a community and deliberate and demonstrable learning for students. Learning occurs through critical reflection and emphasizes reciprocal learning and collaboration.

Study Abroad
Work alongside local students, young professionals, and/or experts in different countries to address community issues related to health, community development, family and youth development, education, agriculture, food and nutrition, water, and more.

Connect with Rwanda: Exploring One Health for a More Sustainable World
Travel to Rwanda in a small cohort with a UC Davis faculty member to engage with community organizations, meet local companies and have cultural experiences centered on the topics of “One Health” and the UN SDGs. All participants receive a generous scholarship.
Widening Circles: Global Social Impact Program
The Widening Circles: Global Social Impact Program is a funded opportunity for UC Davis students pursuing a global internship or research project with a social impact focus. Students receive a grant and explore ethical global engagement through an online curriculum paired with mentorship, digital storytelling, and critical reflection.

Global Impact Fellows
The Global Impact Fellows program is a one-year commitment to leading or assisting a student-led community impact initiative that addresses a global+local challenge where students can hone project management, leadership and field-specific skills in a collaborative environment.
