Hello! My name is Iliana Herrera Bolanos, and I am a fourth-year double majoring in Political Science and Sociology. I’m from Southern California, where I grew up in a small town called Wildomar. When I’m not busy with school, I enjoy spending time with my housemates, watching movies, and researching Korean skincare. Throughout my time on campus, I have been involved in clubs such as Hermanas Unidas and Las Raices Pre-Law.
From a young age, I have traveled back and forth to Mexico, which sparked my curiosity about different cultures and politics.. This interest led to my first global learning experience at UC Davis, where I had the opportunity to participate in the London School of Economics and Political Science program. As a first-generation student, this experience meant a lot to my family and me, as it gave me the chance to study at an amazing university in London.
I am excited to start my position as the GEO (Global Engagement and Opportunity) Peer Ambassador. I believe every student should have the opportunity to study abroad and find a program that will further their education.
