Courses
You will enroll in the course set below. Expand the sections to view course descriptions. Auditing is not an option. UC Davis programs are academic programs so participants should expect a substantial amount of course work.
- Education (EDU) 192. Internship (4 units, P/NP)
- Students will intern approximately 25-32 hours per week at their program site and will be able to apply for transcript notation through the UC Davis Career Center. Information about sample internships and placement processes can be found on the Placements tab.
When enrolling in courses EDU 192 will be two sections: EDU 192 (3 units) and EDU 192 (1 unit). All EDU 192 units (total of 4 units) count toward the internship. - Education (EDU) 198. Education Internship Reflection (2 units, P/NP)
Education Internship Reflection is intended as a forum to connect the work students do at their internship to its broader social and cultural context. Through online discussions and assignments, students will have a community with whom to share their reflections and observations about their internship placements and to explore the significance of interning in an international context. This course includes participation on excursions and tours and attendance to guest lectures. Students are often asked to write reflective pieces. Assignment topics vary by program.
Up to four units of the program will be accepted for the UC Davis education minor. However, students should note that the internship hours will not apply towards the classroom observation pre-requisite required to apply for the teaching credential program.
