Program Overview

Intern in Singapore’s vibrant and bustling capital, a hub of international commerce, Singapore is one of the world’s most globalized economies. This island city-state hosts the Asian headquarters of many multi-national corporations across a range of industries. It is an exciting place to explore—with its remarkable landscape and diverse blends of cultures and cuisines.

Students will intern full-time Monday–Friday and should expect to dedicate another few hours per week for the online course facilitated by a UC Davis instructor. Other program components include excursions, networking parties and an on-site orientation to help student integrate into the city, their cohort and their internship.

Students will be housed in shared housing within one hour of their internship location, and should expect to commute to their site location.

This placement has a specialty in placing Mechanical Engineering, biomedical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical and aerospace engineering, food and chemical engineering placements.

The global pandemic has changed the way some career fields approach daily work. Students may encounter a hybrid workplace where they will adopt schedules similar to their coworkers, such as some days in the office, some days working remotely, and experiences both in person and online.
