A Message to Students and Parents
“After graduating from the National Taiwan University, I came to the U.S. for graduate education and have been teaching Chinese literature in California for more than thirty years. Because of my bicultural background and academic training, I offer unique insights into the history and culture of Taiwan from an East-West comparative perspective. I also enjoy music, food, and a variety of traditional Chinese arts, and I love to share these interests with my students. Taiwan is beautiful, diverse, and friendly. Our class will be held on the campus of a leading university in a very safe and convenient district in Taipei, with easy access to public transportation, shopping, and restaurants.”
