Building Sustainable Water Treatment Systems

Accommodations  

Students will be staying in shared university dorms. More details will be available soon.

UC Davis reserves the right to change the accommodation location. Should this be necessary, we will arrange alternative lodging. Please note that elevators, air conditioners and other modern conveniences may not be available in all locations.

Meals

Breakfast will be provided during your stay in the university dorms. A welcome meal and farewell meal will be included. All other meals are out of pocket.

Excursions & Activities

Excursions related to this course include multiple site visits to local wastewater treatments plants such as Dulces Nombres Plant and Urban Wastewater Treatment Plant. A tour of the Monterrey drinking water distribution and wastewater collection system will also provide insight on Monterrey’s treatment systems. Cultural activities are also scheduled throughout the program to beautiful destinations such as Fundidora and Paseo Santa Lucia as well as Barrio Antiguo. Cultural group meals, a baseball game, and teambuilding activities will also provide community within your cohort!

UC Davis Study Abroad endeavors to reduce and mitigate risk wherever possible. However, the environments and risks associated with living in these locations are substantially different than those found during a regular course of study at UC Davis.
