A Message to Students and Parents

Being an engineering educator has been an exciting and rewarding journey. It has been a great honor to work with faculty and students across all engineering disciplines and computer science here at UC Davis. Preparing students to address an evolving series of multidisciplinary global challenges has led to a dynamic and meaningful curriculum. The technical and professional skills they will need to be successful are at the core of what I enjoy teaching the most, engineering design, communication and teamwork. While the fundamentals remain, the talented students and their innovative technical solutions make every class feel like a fresh new experience. I have seen first-hand how critically important and ultimately empowering mentorship experiences are to their professional development. I look forward to getting to know and hearing more about student’s internship experiences with the study abroad program."
