Class Format
This course will take you to sites throughout Australia’s east coast to complement this course’s curriculum. In general, you can expect to participate in on-site visits, tours, and classroom lessons Monday-Friday. The program instructor has provided more details with the syllabus.
Your classroom experience is a combination of traditional classroom sessions and group project work complemented with guest lectures and field trips. Upon viewing the syllabus and program itinerary, you should note this program as active. On a daily basis, you can expect to be moving about the cities on any one mode of transportation: walking, bus, metro, or bicycle. The class generally meets Monday-Sunday.

- Animal Science (ANS) 112. Sustainable Animal Agriculture (3 units)

Current applications of sustainable animal agriculture including the challenges of animal production, animal needs, animal well-being, and protection of the environment and resources for future food supply systems. Various scenarios for meeting sustainability objectives are evaluated using computing modeling.
Prerequisite(s): BIS 002B or ANS 001; STA 100 or PLS 120 recommended.
- Animal Science (ANS) 198. Directed Group Study (3 units, Pass/No Pass grading only)
- This course includes participation on excursions and tours as well as attendance to guest lectures. Students are asked to write reflections on cross cultural challenges in animal science.
Prerequisites
Along with the general eligibility requirements, Study Abroad will be enforcing the completion of the following prerequisites: BIS 002B or ANS 001; STA 100 or PLS 120 recommended.
