Enjoy the friendly hospitality of the locals while taking in New Zealand’s peaceful islands and rugged mountains. You will be matched with a placement that complements your academic and professional goals and interests. The program includes an on-site orientation to help you learn about the community, your cohort, and your internship. It also offers professional development and cultural activities in a breathtaking location.
Apart from work for the internship, you will also engage in an online course facilitated by a UC Davis faculty. What Students are Saying
- “Overall, this experience has made me confident in my own competency and ability to navigate a previously unknown environment, interact professionally with a new culture, and understand another way of life." (Web Story)
- “Professionally, it was rewarding to learn about different work perspectives. Kiwi culture is much more relaxed and friendly. It makes you question and explore habits outside the norm in your country. Personally, it was meeting locals. It was rewarding to learn about other perspectives and customs.”
- “Gaining confidence in working in a professional setting through trial and error. Before, the concept of working professionally sounds intimidating, especially hearing stories of extremely competitive environments. But working in an internship abroad allowed me to try new things without the pressure of the assumption that I am supposed to know something already.”
