Program Overview
Intern in one of the world's leading centers for fashion, design, and innovation through an eight-week professional internship in Tokyo, Japan. Gain hands-on experience alongside industry professionals in fashion design, costume and accessory design, branding, styling, fashion marketing, events, digital media, and related fields. No prior Japanese language experience is required. Designed for students ready to thrive in an international workplace, you'll complete 40 internship hours each week while taking a UC Davis online course that connects academic learning with professional development.
Extend your learning through program activities that introduce Japan's creative industries and culture. Students may attend a networking seminar with industry leaders, visit the National Art Center, Tokyo, explore Hakone and Fuji-Q Highland, and connect with their cohort during orientation and a farewell dinner.
